Book Statistics
The Life of Larry was the first novel I've written. I wrote it in November 2006, using the NaNoWriMo method of writing, meaning that I was trying to write 50,000 words in 30 days. I finished the first draft on November 26, 2006, a full four days before the end of NaNoWriMo. The first draft came in at 72,024 words.
I've since gone back to edit it a couple of times. I didn't realize it when I wrote it, but this book lends itself well to short chapters, like you see in Dan Brown's Angels and Demons or The Divinci Code. That's why there are so many chapters; they are pretty short, most a page or two.

What's Next? Now that it's in a condition I can market, I'm going to pitch it to an agent to see if I can get any bites. I have an Agent and Editors Conference in Austin, Texas from June 26-28, 2009, and I'm going to be pitching both this book and A New Witch.
